DEFINITION AND CATEGORIES OF COOKIES

  • What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website sends and stores on your computer or mobile device during your visit, before being re-sent to the same website upon your next visit. Cookies allow a website to remember your actions and preferences (such as login information, language, font size, other display settings, etc.) so that you don't have to re-enter them when you return to the website or navigate from one page to another. Cookies are therefore used for computer authentication, session monitoring, and storing information about the activities of users who access a website. They may also contain a unique identifier that allows the user's browsing activity within the website to be tracked for statistical or advertising purposes. While browsing a website, you may also receive cookies from websites or web servers other than the one you are visiting (so-called "third-party" cookies). Some operations cannot be performed without the use of cookies, which in some cases are therefore technically necessary for the functioning of the site.

  • Categories of cookies used by the Site

The cookies used by the Site, and detailed below, may belong to the following categories:

  • Technical cookies used for the sole purpose of "carrying out the transmission of a communication over an electronic communications network, or to the extent strictly necessary for the provider of an information society service explicitly requested by the contractor or user to provide such service" (see art. 122, paragraph 1 of Legislative Decree 196/2003 as amended by Legislative Decree 101/2018) and may be, depending on the purpose pursued:

  1. Browsing or session cookies: guarantee normal navigation and use of the website;

  1. Analytics cookies (or statistical cookies): similar to technical cookies when used directly by the site operator to collect information, in aggregate form, on the number of users and how they visit the site;

  1. Functional cookies: allow the user to navigate based on a series of selected criteria (for example, language, products selected for purchase) in order to improve the service provided to the user.

  • Profiling cookies used for statistical or commercial purposes managed by the Data Controller. In this case, the activation of these cookies is up to the User's will and consent by managing the options indicated in the banner.

  • Third-party cookies, profiling cookies managed by third parties that send data relating to the User to third parties other than the Data Controller.

PURPOSE OF THE PROCESSING

Your Personal Data will be processed by means of:

  • Technical cookies, which do not require consent, for the following purposes:

  • to allow and facilitate navigation of the Site;

  • for statistical purposes (anonymously).

  • Non-technical cookies of the Owner, or of third parties, with your consent, for the following purposes:

  • to trace back to you specific actions or recurring behavioral patterns in the use of the features offered (patterns) in order to group your profile within homogeneous clusters of varying sizes, so that it is also possible to modulate the provision of the service in an increasingly personalized way, as well as send targeted advertising messages, i.e. in line with the preferences you have expressed while browsing the internet;

  • If third-party cookies are used, as indicated in the banner, your data, with your consent, will be sent to third parties other than the Data Controller. These third parties are indicated in the banner.

DATA RETENTION PERIOD

Personal Data will be stored for the period indicated in the summary of cookies in use in the following paragraph.

Personal Data collected by third parties will be retained for the period indicated in the information provided by them.

WHAT COOKIES DOES THE SITE USE?

This site uses the following cookies:

POSSIBLE USE OF SOCIAL PLUG-INS AND SOCIAL SHARING FEATURES

Any social media and/or network plug-ins managed by third parties when present on the Site are recognizable by the respective social media logos (usually Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and Twitter) located at the bottom of the Site's home page and contain direct links to the Company's social media pages. By incorporating the plug-in, information about the pages and content viewed by the user on this website is transmitted to the relevant provider (social media). The content of the plug-in and the amount of data collected by the respective provider (social media) are independent of the Company's website.

By clicking on the above-mentioned logo, information is transmitted from the user's browser directly to the plug-in provider and stored there.

  • If a user is logged in to a social network and visits the Company's Website while logged in, the respective provider may assign the visit to our Website to the user's account. This includes using plug-in functions (for example, clicking the "Like" button), which will associate the information with the account. If the user does not want the aforementioned social network provider to receive their data via the Company's Website, they must log out of the respective social network or disable the use of JavaScript in their browser or block the execution of JavaScript for the relevant domain.

  • If the user is not registered with the social networks in question, it is however possible that the provider of his IP address may still receive the information by storing it – or by saving tracking information on the user's terminal in the form of cookies and using them the next time he visits the site.

These plug-ins are programmed to not set any cookies when accessing the page, to protect user privacy. Cookies are set, if required by the social networks, only when the user actually and voluntarily uses the plug-in. Please note that if the user browses while logged in/registered with the social network, they have already consented to the use of cookies delivered through this site when they registered with the social network.

The purpose and scope of data collection, the collection, further processing, management and use by the respective providers of the information obtained via the plug-in as well as the user's rights and options in this regard are governed by the respective privacy policies of the respective providers (social networks: Facebook and Instagram), to which please refer.

You should review your social media account privacy settings to manage the sharing of your personal information through your account.

For your convenience, below are links to the pages where you can view the privacy policy information (cookie management and personal data processing methods) of the social networks you access via plug-ins from the Website and thus express your preferences by providing your consent:
